A Health And Fitness Coach – Just What The Doctor Ordered

March 26th, 2010 by Angela Arnold | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

Why should I see a wellness coach?

When you are healthy, you can live life to the fullest. You feel fantastic, and you take pleasure in the best that life has to offer. A wellness coach can help you to make sure that issues of poor mental, physical, or spiritual health do not deter you from accomplish your goals.

Do you want to wake up productive, bright-eyed, and bushy-tailed every morning? How cool is it to be refreshed, invigorated, and raring to go as soon as you open your eyes? A wellness coach can help you achieve that. Benjamin Franklin set one of his life goals as being healthy, wealthy, and wise. It’s no mistake that “healthy” is the first attribute mentioned.

Your coach will work with you on a number of things that will improve your daily life, such as:

1) nutrition, diet, and wellness topics; 2) eliminating obstacles to your success in the areas of physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being; 3) weight management goals; 4) stress-reduction and subsequent stress-elimination; 5) health risk management; 6) chronic or acute sleep deprivation issues; 7) topics concerning mental clarity, alertness, focus, and concentration; 8) fatigue or any other issues that stand between you and your goals; 9) memory power; and 10) developing and maintaining an active libido.

I am a baby boomer, and I believe my generation has had an abiding interest in wellness, health, and fitness. We don’t like aging, and we would turn back the clock if we only knew how. It’s understandable that careers that can keep us young are growing faster than a lot of other industries. Wellness coaching enables us to capitalize on our desire to drink repeatedly from the fountain of youth.

I have a deeply personal reason to be healthy. My family, as a whole, hasn’t been a model of longevity and nutrition-rich eating. I tried to counteract that trend by being a vegetarian for a large portion of my life, but I have had more than my share of unhealthy, detrimental eating habits.

Then, after returning from a business conference, I got a terrible wake-up call. After leaving the conference I felt inspired and optimistic and had come up with a number of new business ideas. Then I got a call from my sister and learned that my cousin had suffered a massive heart attack.

I have recently devoted my life to wellness. I am motivated to put my health before just about all other facets of my life. Health is everything. If you’re not in good health, you won’t be able to live your life to the fullest. You can kiss your dreams and plans goodbye.

I remember an incident when I fell down the stairs at my home and twisted three vertebrae in my back. I was in excruciating pain for almost three months. Neither M.D. nor chiropractor could help me. My mind was a sharp as ever, but I could only lie in bed until my body healed itself. It was a horrible, yet transformative experience. So, I know with all my heart and soul how important it is to have your health. It affects everything!

To improve your health and to keep yourself healthy, it’s important that you talk to a wellness coach. No matter what plans or desires you may have, you cannot achieve them if you are not healthy, and a wellness coach can help get you where you want to be.

A Life Coach Can Help You Live Your Dreams

March 20th, 2010 by Angela Arnold | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

What is life coaching?

It is the responsibility of a life coach to help develop their clients so that they can move towards accomplishing their goals. At some point many of us may wonder if our dreams will ever come true. Do you want to get a better job? Would you like to build better relationships with your friends and family? What are the things you truly value in life? Well, a life coach can help you clarify your goals. A life coach can really help make things happen for you.

According to the International Coach Federation in a survey of 210 coaching clients who been coach for an average of nine months, 98.5% of the respondents to their study on coaching, stated that their coaching sessions were valuable. At least 62% of the respondents confide in their coach at least as much as they confide in their spouse, their best friend, or their therapist. Life coaching can improve all areas of your life including building better connections with your spouse or significant other, your children, wealth, health and fitness, and much more.

Life coaching is great because it isn’t restricted to one area of your life. With a life coach you can improve all aspects of your life, from your relationship with your spouse or significant other to your children and family. You can also work to increase your wealth, improve your health and fitness and anything else you may want to address. Coaching is not therapy or mentoring, nor is it meant to be. Coaches typically deal with people who are already well but want to improve their situation. You already have the answers to solve your problems and improve your life, and your coach will help you find those answers. When thinking about a coach, most people will think of an athletic coach. A life coach isn’t all that different. Just as a gifted athlete has a coach that will help him achieve his goals, people who want to achieve success in their personal or professional lives employ personal, business, leadership, and life coaches.

Generally, therapy is recommended for people who need the assistance of a physician or a licensed health or medical professional to overcome their difficulties. Mentoring is geared toward people who want to emulate a successful role model and accomplish the same goals that person has already achieved.

Choosing the right life coach A good life coach can provide testimonials and case studies that demonstrate their competence and proficiencies. You should also look for someone who has formal training and some experience coaching or consulting. The life coach that you pick should be someone that is a good fit for you. You need to feel comfortable with them. Any worthwhile life coach will offer you a free 15 minute coaching session, which allows you both to decide whether or not you work well together and will be a good fit.

Why choose life coaching?

A trained life coach can help you immensely. Find somebody who can furnish you with testimonials, case studies, or other evidence of competence and proficiency. Find somebody having qualification through training and experience. Perhaps your prospective coach is willing to offer a laser coaching session or a free 15-minute session so you can get to know each other. Life coaching is an excellent way of improving your personal life, your business life, and your health. Your life coach will make you feel like you are the only person in the world. This is a powerful experience. After all, don’t we all want to be listened to by someone who pays close attention to what we

Everyone is cost conscious today. They wonder if they can afford to hire a life coach. The more appropriate question, is can they afford not to – especially if they want to take their life’s work and achievements to the next level.

Individuals who have used the services of life coaches, according to the above mentioned survey, give testimony to the following results:

67.6% higher level of self-awareness 62.4% smarter goal-setting 60.5% more balanced life 57.1% lower stress levels 52.9% self-discovery 52.4% more self-confidence 43.3% improvement in quality of life 39.5% enhanced communication skills 35.7% project completion 33.8% health or fitness improvement 33.3% better relationship with staff 33.3% better family relationships 31.9% increased energy 31.9% more fun 25.7% more income 25.7% stopped a bad habit 24.3% change in career 22.9% more free time

Amy Watson of PROfusion Public Relations conducted the survey. The survey was created with the assistance of Jackie Rieves Watson, Ph.D., professor of Management and Statistics, Amber University.

How can life coaching help me?

Working with a life coach can benefit you in a number of ways. I will highlight a few of them here, but these are only a few of the many ways in which having a life coach can help you.

A life coach will help you find the answers that you already have within you. You will learn to be more self-aware and to look within yourself for the solutions to any roadblocks that may appear.

With the help of your life coach, you will develop a plan of action to achieve your goals. In addition, your coach will hold you accountable for sticking to your plan and accomplishing the goals you set.

Under the guidance of your coach, you will set realistic, success-oriented goals. Because you have internalized your goals and aligned them with your values, you can make smarter decisions and act on them.

Your coach will work with you within an environment which builds your confidence and trust so you can share your inner-most thoughts and ideas without fear of being judged. Because of this rapport, you can remove any emotional blockages impeding your success.

Your life coach is trained as an active, empathetic listener. He or she will ask you powerful questions that will inspire you to act to accomplish your goals. Your coach will help you align your strengths, goals and actions so that they are in harmony and you will attract more wealth and make more money.

With a life coach you can progress at your own pace. Your coach is trained to have an almost unliimited reservoir of patience.

Your life coach can help you envision things from a different perspective, which can permit you to make different assumptions, allowing you to “think outside the box” , come up with new and creative ideas, and get life-changing results.

A coach places the focus directly on you – where it should be. This is the fastest and most efficient method for you to achieve success.

Business Coach – For When You Want To Take Your Business To The Next Level

March 19th, 2010 by Angela Arnold | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

What is a business coach and how do I pick one?

A business coach is person who helps to improve you from bottom to top, whether you are an owner of a Fortune 500 company, a small mom-and-pop operation, or a work-a-home-enterprise. Just as superstar athletes work with coaches and personal trainers, anyone who wants to reap dramatic business improvement should consider hiring a business coach. Your coach will help you leverage your time by concentrating on your highest profit activities.

For entrepreneurs considering business coaching, the biggest concerns are how to find a small business coach and how to make sure that coach is the right one. Finding and picking a business coach is not as difficult as it may seem. There are over 30,000 life and business coaches located throughout the world. The best way to choose the right one is to speak with prospective coaches. Try an abbreviated coaching session and then evaluate how you feel afterwards. Go with your gut; you need a coach that fits you and that you feel comfortable with. But don’t delay getting started. If you wait, it can hurt your future successes.

Why a Business Coach?

If you are an entrepreneur that is feeling overwhelmed balancing business, family and relationship commitments, you would benefit from a business coach. Entrepreneurs are independent people. They like to do things themselves and will often be reluctant to consider business coaching. I know from experience, however, how beneficial a business coach can be. With an extra set of eyes and ears that are devoted to you and to accomplishing your goals, your business can grow exponentially. You will realize how helpful your coach is as soon as you start working with them, and will probably wish you’d hired one a long time ago.

People work with coaches for a number of reasons. The International Coach Federation conducted a survey of 210 coaching clients who had been coached for an average of nine months. Some of the most popular reasons for working with a coach included:

84.5 % time management 74.3% career guidance 73.8% business advice 58.6% relationship / family issues 51.9% physical / wellness issues 45.2% personal issues 39.5% goal-setting 38.1% financial guidance 11% creativity

Overall, 84.8% of the people who responded to the survey viewed the coach as a sounding board or a mentor, 78.1% of them considered the coach as a motivator, and 46.7% sought coaches as business consultants.

1. If you want to launch products, services, or an entire business, a business coach can help. Through their expertise, a coach they can guide you in creating a marketing plan, which can meet your personal expectations and realizations of your business. Coaching can trigger reactions in you which lead you to shift your zest for accomplishment into overdrive.

2. A Business Coach benefits you in so many ways. Researching your niche, assisting you in search engine optimization, and identifying your core values are some of the advantages a business coach can provide. Your enterprise can grow by leaps and bounds as you begin to see minute details which lead you to support and nurture your most valuable and profitable customers and partners.

3. A Business Coach can help you move from where you are to where you want to be. You’ll make smarter and more profitable decisions and you’ll develop an action plan for achieving your goals. The answers are within you already. Once you know how to access that information, you naturally develop a keen insight into yourself so that you can select the right opportunities at the right time and the right people to interact with, so you make more money and live the life you desire. What a wonderful skill to model for your children and family!

4. A Business Coach can help you develop excellent time management skills, identify and eliminate time-wasting distractions, and prioritize your strengths so you can concentrate on your high-productivity assets. Thus you work smarter, not harder, so you can relax more when you want to.

5. By all means, hire a business coach if you desire to improve your confidence, your communication skills, and your business posture. All of these attributes will help you to attract customers, joint venture partners and affiliates to you.

6. Working with a business coach will enable you to learn the art of reading people. With this skill you’ll be able to draw the most qualified people to you and your company.

7. We’ve covered a lot already, but there’s still a great deal more a business coach can do for you. So, let’s read on. In addition to accelerating profits for companies that are already running smoothly (but which want to be even more profitable), a business coach can also help you out when your company is really down and out. You may be drowning in debt when you should be reaping profits. Your coach can pep you up and help you find solutions to your problems instead. What can you do to make your business look unique? Think out of the box. But to do that you’ve got to be relaxed. Stop worrying. Bon chance!

8. A Business Coach should offer you a complimentary 15-minute coaching session so both of you can decide if you are a good fit for each other. Your coach is not your buddy or pal, but you must develop strong rapport so you can get the most possible out of your coaching sessions. Of course, it may take some time to develop a high level of trust, but the coach definitely should not give you the heebie-jeebies. If your spidey-sense sounds an alarm during the coaching sessions, you should absolutely acknowledge it, and respond in an appropriate manner.

9. A Business Coach should inspire your trust. Do you feel like you are in a safe environment to share your inner-most thoughts without fear of judgment? Can you be deadly honest with your coach? The answers to both questions should be a resounding “yes”.

10. A Business Coach should encourage you to follow your inner voice. Utilize the resources your coach has to offer. That’s what you are paying for. If you value financial freedom, you will come to realize that having a business coach is pretty much a necessity today. You can’t do it all alone. We are all meant to shine. Your coach will help you do just that. Remember, you are powerful beyond measure.

Business coaching or life coaching can help you.

A Leadership Coach To Improve Your Bottom Line

March 17th, 2010 by Angela Arnold | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

What is a leadership coach or an executive coach? What does it take to be a successful executive or career coach?

Many people use the words executive coach and leadership coach interchangeably. Basically, it’s all about developing organizational leadership. An executive coach first and foremost helps you develop as a person. Only then can you tap into your potential as a visionary leader.

To become a better leader, you need to be more self-aware. You have to know yourself thoroughly; your passions, interests, talents and skills, strengths and weakness. You also need to have a good understanding of the values that drive you. You should know how to bring out the best in yourself and how to inspire others to do the same. If you have trouble creating a solid team of members that work together to achieve self-set goals, you should consider hiring a leadership or executive coach.

A leadership coach can help you identify and develop your strengths. Your coach will also help you harness and improve your ability to motivate and inspire others. An executive coach can be an instrumental part of an organization’s success in today’s competitive business market.

Is executive coaching or leadership coaching effective?

We’ll let the statistics speak for themselves. Manchester, Inc conducted a study of 100 executives, mostly from Fortune 100 companies.

Approximately 53% of the respondents reported increases in productivity, 48% saw improvements in organizational strength, and 39% improved their customer service. About 77% reported better relationships with people who reported directly to them while 71% had improve relationships with their immediate supervisors. Better teamwork and improved relationships with their peers were acknowledged by 67% and 63% of the respondents, respectively.

Benefits from working with leadership coach

An executive coach guides you in making the people you work with the “only people in the world”. This will permit your team to achieve virtually any job objective you set your collective minds to.

As a result of leadership coaching you can build confidence in others and inspire trust. This, in turn, leads to developing and sustaining superior human relationships, which can benefit any forward-thinking organization.

A leadership coach can help you identify and extend your facility to seize the initiative such that you start fast and finish strong. You will come to delight in taking decisive massive action when necessary.

And the coach improves your temperament and behavioral patterns of co-workers and other peoples. And also you become a good people reader listening others.
