Three Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Affiliate Marketing Business

March 27th, 2010 by Alex Johnson | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

If you’re looking for a successful, low hassle, low risk, home business, affiliate marketing is definitely the way to go. It has some great money making perks you won’t find in other businesses. This is true in a way because in order to start with affiliate marketing, you don’t require much capital.

As humans, we all make mistakes and need to learn from them. Unfortunately, when mistakes are made in affiliate marketing, it can cost you both time and money. In extreme cases, the mistakes may be so serious that few or no sales are made. In the event that you’re having a little trouble getting your affiliate marketing career off the ground, rest assured that you’re not the only one. In this article, we’ll be looking at some of the most common types of mistakes affiliates make, so that you can easily avoid those and be on your way to building successful affiliate campaigns.

Trying To Actually Sell The Products

Do you put every ounce of your effort into creating a sales pitch for your affiliate product? If so, then you need to change your strategy. Although it seems to be counter-intuitive, the affiliate is not the person who is supposed to be doing the selling. This is how it works. If a visitor comes to your site and reads you well thought out sales pitch and chooses to click on the affiliate site, they are presented with yet another sales page. Does this increase the chances of a sale? Of course not. People do not want to be bombarded with advertisements. Instead, you need to pre-sell the affiliate product with informative content, not with sales pitches. As an affiliate marketer your site is not the sales page, but merely a place to generate attention. Doing this will keep your visitor’s attention and increase the chances that they will complete the buying cycle, going from a prospect to a customer. It will prevent visitors from losing interest and simply leaving your site.

Allowing Yourself to Become Stale

Why would a Nomad, living in the desert, need to buy a woolen sweater? It is true that sweaters are useful, but not for a Nomad living in the desert. This is why you need to be conscious of what you are selling, who you are selling to, what the products are exactly. For example, selling insurance to teenagers can be rather difficult. However, you would be successful trying to sell them fashion accessories or something along those lines.

A third mistake is failing to assemble an e-mail list of your visitors.

Many times, consumers need to see more than just one ad about your product before they make a decision. Good promotion isn’t limited to one hit on your affiliate link. If you aren’t using an opt-in form on your website to collect names and email addresses of your visitors, you are losing an opportunity to make long term profits. Maintaining a mailing list will enable you to provide subscribers with additional information and incentives to purchase our product; and you will forge a trust relationship with them. And as they become familiar with you and grow to trust you, you will see increased sales from your contact list, which will translate into a dependable future income.

There is great potential to make money with affiliate marketing, some people however still find it hard because they make simple mistakes. If you want to become a highly profitable affiliate, you need to learn from mistakes (yours and others) and do your best to avoid making them again.

A Wordpress Goldmine Review – More Information About The Mark Thompson Blogging System.

March 27th, 2010 by Shaun Baird | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

Please read this deeply personal wordpress goldmine review of mine. This site really does work and it works extremely well. The site is a fantastic forum that has been online for a number of years, and is owned by Mark Thompson. It currently has over 1700 active members who get involved.

If you’ve ever tried other sites, such as wealthy affiliate then you’ll definitely be in for an exciting change.

Why on earth am I sounding all excited, and buzzing about it?

Because quite simply, it works! It really does work.

The thing that makes me so sure of how good wordpress goldmine actually is, is that it works and I am making money. In fact I am now going to be giving up work in 4 weeks time so I can focus entirely on building these types of websites, without any technical ability I must add.

So why do you think that this is any different from any of the other websites pushing out their ideas all over the internet? Some of them have very compelling claims.

1: Mark Thompson is a man who does what he tells us to do. He walks the walk as well as talking the talk. He even videos the step by step suite building process frequently so we can all keep up to date and follow his lead.

And the good thing is that his methods work, well.

2: You will often find Mark in the forum, daily in fact working and helping others, which is great for support and tips.

3: The forum really is the huge reason why people STAY at wordpress goldmine. I for one have never in my life experienced anything like the community there. Literally there is someone there all day long to talk to, and most people are extremely supportive. It’s a formula that works. Pure and simple. I’ve been there now more than 6 months and have since closed down all my other memberships.

4: I am personally making money with Adsense, Clickbank and Amazon. I have never in my life managed to crack these eggs until I joined wpgm.

5: I like the fact that the site is founded on facts, not hype or wow factor. It simply delivers. Plus you don’t come across nasty trolls lurking inside!

6: Learn how to generate traffic on auto pilot straight to niche websites. The methods work, are constantly updated and keep you at the front of marketing.

You’ll start off by reading the ebook, and all the updates to it, (which are frequent, in order to keep up with regular marketing methods). Then you’ll be watching the videos as you go through the ebook, and finally you’ll be participating in the very close knit community where everyone helps one another. It’s such a cool place we’ve recently had 2 or 3 wordpress goldmine babies born!

Now this wordpress goldmine review was written by me, a member who actively participates in all aspects of the site and has done for over 6 months now.

If you like the idea of a family who are a close knit team then why not start blogging for yourself.

I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed reading this unbiased honest wordpress goldmine review.

Acme people search Home based Business

March 27th, 2010 by David Goundry | No Comments | Filed in Affiliate Marketing

Even with the advent of Face book, My space and other social gathering sites the home based business Acme people Search continues to grow. It’s an incredible fact that still over 25% of search engines searches on line are people looking for someone else. This number is forecast to continue growing, so it’s perhaps no surprise that home based business, Acme people search has taken full advantage of this trend and hitched itself to what seems a certain growth market by building a home business around it.

In a crowded field home business Acme People Search seems to be pulling out all the stops, in an attempt to differentiate themselves from the competition by giving away there services in a search engine that you can own free forever and build a home business around. On closer examination these engines compare well and even out perform other players in the field, so what’s the catch?

It’s clear that Acme People search ’s home based business is counting on you building a home based business around your newly acquired search engine by monetizing it and even join their affiliate marketing program. Critics claim that in the past a lot of people took the engine but didn’t really know how to use it, so they soon dropped out, making it hard to build a down line of any real value.

However with advent of the free Acme People Search forum, and free affiliate marketing training as well as good business advice from super sponsors on the forum, things have changed for the better. This help and support appears to have increased the people succeeding with Acme people search home based business to such an extent that many of their members can be seen on many affiliate marketing leader boards such as GDI and GVO.

To make such big inroads into in the less than admired affiliate marketing industry, where programs come and go all too quickly, perhaps Acme people search home based business is restoring a bit of shine to this tarnished sector.

Affiliate Network – Mistakes That Affiliates Make

March 27th, 2010 by Brian Lett | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

You have just signed up at an affiliate network, and you are excited. They have great products, free referral websites, pre-made ads for you to copy, and the best compensation plan on the internet. This is the best affiliate network on the internet! Put a few ads out there and you’re on your way to becoming the next internet millionaire. Right?

Before you break ground on that big mansion on the hill, here are a few mistakes many new affiliate marketers make that you will want to avoid.

1. Believing the hype.

Those income projections that every program makes are just that, projections. You can make that much. Will you within your first few months of the program? Probably not. Look at this as a long-term investment in your future, not a way to get rich quick. Believe in yourself and your ability to make your dreams come true. However, do not believe the hype.

2. Anticipating immediate success with a minimal effort.

Expect to work your business, and expect to work it daily. If you opened your own neighborhood store, you’d expect to have to go in to work daily, wouldn’t you? You would expect to have to advertise and get people to come to your store. Well, you just opened your own brand new internet store, what are you going to do to make it work? How are you going to get people to come look at your product?

3. Neglecting to make specific plans and goals.

People who engage in online business do not seem to realize how important planning and goal setting are. It is important to know what you are working towards, and what you need to do to get there. So many people know that they want to make money. Okay, that is easy. Then to make money, they join an affiliate network. However, they do not define how much money they want to make. Furthermore, they do not set realistic time periods within with they will strive to make this sum of money. However, if they do know how much money they want to make, and when they want to make it, they usually fail to account for exactly what needs to be done to make their dreams a reality. In order to be successful, you need to know how much money you want to make, how long it will realistically take to get there, and what you need to do each and every day to achieve this goal.

4. Advertising the sales page which is given to you via your affiliate link.

Of course, you need to advertise your affiliate link in order to track each sale to you. However, it is important that you own a website or blog. It is on your website or blog that you will advertise your affiliate link. Think about it. Each and every affiliate who is promoting a particular affiliate program has the same website as you do. This is not good. You want to stand out from the crowd. Furthermore, it is a good idea to add an opt-in section to your website or blog so that you can market other products to your visitors in the future. You cannot add an opt-in section to your affiliate link’s sales page.

5. Throwing in the towel way too soon.

Perhaps a few months have gone by and you are not making the type of money that you had hoped for. Maybe this has lead you to question whether you will ever make any money with an affiliate network. If this sounds like you, rather than give up, you need to figure out what to do to improve on your efforts. It is never time to give up. Thomas Edison did not invent the incandescent light bulb by giving up. Rather, it took him over 10,000 tries, and he did it. The point is that great success is not achieved by those who give up. Believe in what you are doing, and learn how to do it better.

Home Based Business – Get Rid of Time Wasters

March 27th, 2010 by Brian Lett | No Comments | Filed in Work from Home

A common theme among home based business owners is that there are so many things to do, and not enough hours to do them in each day. Therefore, it is crucial that you make the most out of the hours which you have. In this article, we are going to show you how to do just that.

Here are some things which you absolutely must consider.

1) Stop associating with that which consumes your time, and gives you no benefit. I am not only talking about your friend who wants to go for the early bird happy hour at two o’clock in the afternoon, I am also talking about the things which interrupt your work throughout the day. Cutting the following wasters of time out of your day is essential to time management:

a) Social Networking Hangouts: If you are spending more than thirty minutes per day on email (unless somehow that is your business) you are spending too much time on this trap.

b) Telephone Interruptions: If you answer the phone live more than five times per day during your productive time (ie. work at home time) you are sacrificing time management and efficiency. When you answer the phone, you interrupt your current productive flow, which destroys your productivity.

c) Television: The boob tube must be limited for you to achieve ultimate control over your time. My recommendation is thirty minutes per day, especially if you are not getting all the things done you need or want to. If you have a DVR, you can record whatever you want to watch, and skip through the commercials in order to save time.

2) Make a list of the most important things which you absolutely need to complete each day. One of the best things that you can do to adequately manage your time, is put a list of tasks together which has been prioritized. You have to know what must be done every day, and then take action to do it. This is the day of new technology. While this new technology has enabled us to work at home, it has also given us many things which compete for our attention. If you allow such distractions to become priorities, you will not have enough time to complete your work. Consider doing the following:

a) Develop a list of tasks which must be completed every day;

b) Hold yourself accountable by putting a time limit on the completion of each item;

c) Organize each item in order of importance;

d) Develop a plan of action which will give you the ability to accomplish your goals within your set time frame.

3) While going through the daily operations of your home based business, begin to focus on time management. Your consistent focus must be on managing your time. Once you have determined what your goals and priorities are, begin focusing on simply completing those goals in their respective order. If something is not on your list of goals for this week, do not spend precious time on it until all of your goals have been completed. If you allow every interruption to become a priority, you will not accomplish your goals. Rather, you will be in debt to interruptions, and probably feel like you never accomplish enough.
